Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Nodesforum, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "_nodesforum_path_from_here_to_nodesforum_folder" parameter in erase_user_data.php and to the "_nodesforum_code_path" parameter in pre_output.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or remote resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.045. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Update to version 1.047 or later.
