TecR0c has discovered a vulnerability in TweakFS Zip Utility, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing archives containing an entry with an overly long name. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted ZIP file.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Do not open untrusted ZIP files with the utility.
