A vulnerability has been reported in Mako, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting or script insertion attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to Mako using the "cgi.escape()" function to sanitise input, which does not properly filter single quotes. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 0.3.4.
Solution: Update to version 0.3.4.
