Description

A security issue has been reported in Sourcefire 3D, which can be exploited by malicious people to manipulate certain data.

The security issue is caused due to the use of static SSL keys in the default installation, which can be exploited to conduct Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.

Successful exploitation requires access to the management interface of a different installation to obtain a copy of the default keys.

Solution
Replace the static SSL keys with custom keys. Consult the installation guides on how to perform this procedure.
