A vulnerability has been reported in EMC Disk Library (EDL), which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error, which can be exploited to cause the communication module to crash by sending a specially crafted message to an affected system.

The vulnerability is reported in the following versions:
* EMC Disk Library earlier than 3.2.7
* EMC Disk Library 3.3.x
* EMC Disk Library 4.0.x

Solution
Update to EMC Disk Library version 3.2.7, 3.3.2 and epatch 8, or 4.0.1 and epatch 4.
