Impact:

Solution Status:

CVE Reference(s):

Description

A security issue has been reported in EMC Celerra Unified Storage Platforms, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

The security issue is caused due to the appliance insecurely exporting the root of the user data directory via NFS with a predefined list of authorised IP addresses. This can be exploited to mount and gain full access to the exported file system.

Successful exploitation requires an attacker to spoof his IP address.

The security issue is reported in NAS Code versions prior to 5.6.51.

Solution:
Update to NAS Code version 5.6.51.
