Description

A vulnerability has been discovered in Play Framework, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.

Input passed via a request, e.g. after "public/", is not properly verified before being used to read files. This can be exploited to download arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal sequences.

Successful exploitation requires that the affected directory has "staticDir:public" mapping in "conf/routes".

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0.3.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Update to version 1.0.3.2.
