Description

A vulnerability has been discovered in Adobe Dreamweaver, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the application loading libraries (e.g. MFC90LOC.DLL and dwmapi.dll) in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to load arbitrary libraries by tricking a user into e.g. opening a CSS file located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 version 11.0 Build 4916. Other versions may also be affected.

You can use this new feature introduced by Microsoft to block the attack vector.

You should be aware that it has been reported that several applications break when this registry entry is used with certain values.
