Description


A vulnerability has been reported in IBM Informix Dynamic Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the logging function in oninit.exe and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted request to TCP ports 9088 or 1526.

The vulnerability is reported in IBM Informix Dynamic Server versions prior to 11.50.xC1 and 11.10.xC2W2.


Solution:
Update to version 11.50.xC1 or 11.10.xC2W2.
