Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Winamp, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
1) An integer overflow error exists in the "in_nsv.dll" plugin when parsing the NSV Table of Contents data. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted stream or file.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
This vulnerability is confirmed in versions 5.581 and 5.59 Beta Build 3033.
2) An integer overflow error in the "in_midi.dll" plugin can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted MIDI file.
This vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 5.6.
