A vulnerability has been reported in Mono, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to Mono loading libraries from the current directory, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code by e.g. tricking a user into running a Mono application in a directory containing a malicious library.

Solution
Update to version 2.8.1.
