Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Apache Tomcat, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "sort" and "orderBy" parameters to manager/html/sessions is not properly sanitised in sessionsList.jsp before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation in Apache Tomcat 7.x requires that the "CSRF" filter for the Manager application is disabled.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 6.0.12 through 6.0.29 and 7.0.0 through 7.0.4.
Solution: Fixed in the SVN repository.
