Ubuntu has issued an update for imagemagick. This fixes a weakness, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The weakness is caused due to ImageMagick looking for configuration files in the current directory, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of another user by e.g. tricking the user into running ImageMagick in a directory containing malicious configuration files.
