A vulnerability has been reported in ISC DHCP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the failover peer feature when handling certain TCP traffic, which can be exploited to e.g. stop ISC DHCP from responding to DHCP requests by sending specially crafted packets to the failover peer port.
The vulnerability is reported in 4.2 versions prior to 4.2.0-P2.
Solution: Update to version 4.2.0-P2.
