Description


A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft SharePoint, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a validation error when processing SOAP requests sent to the Document Conversions Launcher service and can be exploited via a specially crafted request to upload and execute an arbitrary file on an affected server.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code in the context of a guest account, but requires the Document Conversions Load Balancer and Launcher service to be enabled (disabled by default).
