Description


A vulnerability has been reported in EMC Replication Manager, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the client as the irccd.exe service listening on port 6542/TCP allows executing arbitrary commands via the RunProgram functionality.

This is related to:
SA36251

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 5.3.


Solution:
Update to version 5.3 available through EMC Powerlink.
