Krystian Kloskowski (h07) has discovered a vulnerability in DivX Plus Web Player, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within DivXPlaybackModule.dll when processing overly long "file://" URLs, which can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into visiting a malicious website.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.1.2.265. Other versions may also be affected
