Description

A vulnerability has been reported in SWI-Prolog, which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the XPCE component within the "LZWReadByte()" function (img/gifread.c) and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via specially crafted GIF images.

The vulnerability is reported in version 5.10.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Fixed in the GIT repository.
