SUSE has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes some vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious people with physical access to potentially compromise a vulnerable system and by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
1) A boundary error when handling string descriptors during new device probes in the "auerswald_probe()" function (drivers/usb/misc/auerswald.c) can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by inserting a malicious USB device.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the execution of arbitrary code.
Solution: Apply updated packages via the zypper package manager.
