A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling elements types within containers while processing OfficeArt Shape records. This can be exploited to corrupt memory via a specially crafted PowerPoint file.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
