A vulnerability has been reported in Enterasys Network Management Suite, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the Syslog service (nssyslogd.exe) when processing the PRIO field. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long message sent to UDP port 514.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 184.108.40.206.
