Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in Basic Analysis and Security Engine, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks and compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed via certain "ip_addr" parameter array values to base_qry_main.php (when "submit" is set to "Query") is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "BASE_path" parameter to base_graph_form.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.4.5. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified and sanitised.
