A vulnerability has been reported in FlightGear, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "Rotor::getValueforFGSet()" function (src/FDM/YASim/Rotor.cpp) when parsing a rotor tag of an aircraft model and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 2.6. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Do not use aircraft models from untrusted sources.
