Description

Mutliple vulnerabilities have been reported in Wireshark, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

1) Errors in the ANSI MAP, ASF, BACapp, Bluetooth HCI, IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.3, LTP, and R3 dissectors can be exploited to cause infinite loops via specially crafted packets.

2) An error in the DIAMETER dissector does not properly allocate memory and can be exploited to cause a crash via a specially crafted packet.

3) An error related to misaligned memory on SPARC and Itanium processors can be exploited to cause a crash via a specially crafted packet.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 1.4.0 through 1.4.12 and 1.6.0 through 1.6.7.
