A vulnerability has been reported in LedgerSMB, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due the application not properly verifying permissions when changing certain settings. This can be exploited to e.g. change the password duration and subsequently lock-out users or change AR/GL transaction numbers to prevent proper processing.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 1.3.20 and prior.
Solution: Update to version 1.3.21 or apply patch (please see the vendor's advisory for details).
