Description

A vulnerability has been reported in HP Intelligent Management Center, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error in img.exe and can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet sent to TCP port 8800.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 5.0 E0101P05.

Solution
Apply Patch Kit E0101P05.
