A vulnerability has been reported in EMC NetWorker, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error in librpc.dll within the nsrd RPC service when parsing RPC data. This can be exploited to corrupt memory via a specially crafted request sent to TCP port 9319.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206.
Solution: Update to version 220.127.116.11 or 18.104.22.168.
