Stefan Schurtz has discovered a vulnerability in Piwigo, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "username_or_email" parameter to password.php is not properly sanitised in themes/default/template/password.tpl before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 2.4.3 and 2.4.4. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 2.4.5.
Provided and/or discovered by: Stefan Schurtz via Secunia.
