Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in the Multisite Plugin Manager plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "mass_activate" and "mass_deactivate" parameters to wp-admin/network/plugins.php ( when "page" is set to "plugin-management") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.1.1. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 3.1.2.
Provided and/or discovered by: The vendor credits Matthew Fuller, Mozilla.
