A vulnerability has been reported in Xen, which can be exploited by malicious, local users in a guest virtual machine to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the "set_msi_source_id()" function (drivers/passthrough/vtd/intremap.c) when handling VT-d interrupts and can be exploited to inject incorrect interrupts and cause a crash.
Successful exploitation requires that Intel VT-d for PCI passthrough is used.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 4.1.x.
Solution: Apply patch xsa33-4.1.patch.
