Description


Two vulnerabilities have been reported in FFmpeg, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and compromise an application using the library.

1) An error within the "avcodec_decode_audio4()" function (libavcodec/utils.c) can be exploited to corrupt memory.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow execution of arbitrary code.

2) A NULL-pointer dereference error within the "ff_er_frame_end()" function (libavcodec/error_resilience.c) when handling picture setup state can be exploited to cause a crash.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 1.1.1.


Solution:
Update to version 1.1.1.
