Microsoft Windows DirectShow Media Decompression Vulnerability

Description


A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in DirectShow when handling the decompression of media content, which can be exploited via specially crafted media content.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
