A weakness and some vulnerabilities have been reported in TYPO3, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input related to the access tracking mechanism is not properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be exploited to redirect a user to an arbitrary website e.g. when a user clicks a specially crafted link to the affected script hosted on a trusted domain.
2) Certain unspecified input is not properly sanitised in Extbase before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires Extbase to be installed.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 4.5.0 through 4.5.23, 4.6.0 through 4.6.16, 4.7.0 through 4.7.8, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.2.
Solution: Update to version 4.5.25, 4.6.18, 4.7.10 or 6.0.4.
Provided and/or discovered by: 1) Reported by the vendor.
2) The vendor credits Helmut Hummel and Markus Opahle.
