A vulnerability has been reported in Xen, which can be exploited by malicious, local users in a guest virtual machine to potentially cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when releasing a certain grant object after doing a grant copy operation and can be exploited to potentially crash the host system or gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 4.0 and 4.1.
Solution: Apply patch xsa50-4.1.patch.
