A vulnerability has been reported in Xen, which can be exploited by malicious, local users in a guest virtual machine to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to the source of bridge devices not being validated when raising interrupts, which can be exploited to inject interrupts into the domain owning the bridges and cause a crash.
Successful exploitation requires using Intel VT-d for PCI passthrough.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 4.0 and later.
Solution: Apply patches.
