Description


A security issue and a vulnerability have been reported in Juniper Network and Security Manager, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and compromise a vulnerable system.

1) The security issue is caused due to the application deploying Apache Axis2 with default administrator credentials. This can be exploited to gain administrative access and execute arbitrary code by uploading a web service.

This security issue is related to:
SA41799

The security issue and the vulnerability are reported in versions prior to 2012.2R2, 2012.1R6, 2011.4S9, and 2010.3S12.


Solution:
Update to version 2012.2R2 or later, 2012.1R6 or later, 2011.4S9 or later, or 2010.3S12 or later.
