Description


Rack911 has reported two vulnerabilities in RVSkin, which can be exploited by malicious users to potentially gain escalated privileges.

1) An unspecified error when performing nightly update runs can be exploited to change the ownership of arbitrary files via specially crafted hardlinks.

2) An unspecified error when logging in to RVSkin via the WHM interface can be exploited to change the ownership of arbitrary files via specially crafted hardlinks.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 10.84.
