Gentoo has issued an update for proftpd. This fixes a security issue and multiple vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges, by malicious users to manipulate certain data and compromise a vulnerable system, and by malicious people to manipulate certain data, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), and compromise a vulnerable system.
