absane has discovered a vulnerability in the Cart66 Lite plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.
The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. add arbitrary products to the shopping cart by tricking a logged-in administrator into visiting a malicious web site.
NOTE: This can further be exploited to conduct script insertion attacks.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 18.104.22.168. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 22.214.171.124.
