A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error within the LRPC client and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted LPC (Local Procedure Call) port message via a customised LRPC server.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with escalated privileges.
