A vulnerability has been reported in the JomSocial component for Joomla!, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed via the "arg4" POST parameter to index.php (when "option" is set to "community", "task" is set to "azrul_ajax", and "func" is set to "photos, ajaxUploadAvatar") is not properly sanitised before being used in a "call_user_func_array()" call. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary PHP code by invoking the "CStringHelper::escape" method.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 126.96.36.199.
Solution: Update to version 188.8.131.52.
Provided and/or discovered by: Matias Fontanini and Gaston Traberg.
