A vulnerability has been reported in JBoss RichFaces, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is cause due to an error when handling push events within the PushHandlerFilter class (src/main/java/org/richfaces/webapp/PushHandlerFilter.java), which can be exploited to exhaust memory resources by sending specially crafted, malformed push requests.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 4.3.4. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: No official solution is currently available.
