Description:
zen-parse has discovered a vulnerability in gv, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of PS and PDF documents and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted document.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code but requires that a user is tricked into viewing a malicious document.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.5.8. Other versions may also be affected.
