Description: WinAMP has been found vulnerable, one buffer overflow has been identified in 2.81 and another two in 3.0.
WinAMP 2.81 is flawed in the way it handles long Artist ID3v2 tags when loading an mp3. The tag is not verified properly, this can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow and launch arbitrary code.
WinAMP 3.0 also has a buffer overflow problem in the way it handles ID3v2 tags this is both in the Artist and Album fields, it does however require the file to be displayed/listed in the Media Library window and clicked on in either the Artist or Album window.
