Description

A vulnerability has been reported in mpg123, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the size calculation of the framesize buffer when handling MP3 files with a bitrate of zero (0). This may result in allocation of a negative framesize, which causes a buffer overflow allowing execution of arbitrary code with the user's privileges.
