Description:
A vulnerability in the BitchX IRC client can be exploited by a malicious IRC server to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused by missing input validation of malformed RPL_NAMREPLY replies received from an IRC server.

Solution:
Use another IRC client until an updated version is released.
