Description: FX has reported a vulnerability in Cisco IOS, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable network device.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the handling of multiple OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) packets. This can be exploited by sending more than 254 neighbour packets to a vulnerable network device, which results in a buffer overflow.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
An exploit is publicly available.
