A vulnerability in moxftp can be exploited by a malicious person to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused by a boundary error and can be exploited by returning a very long, malicious FTP banner to moxftp. This will result in a buffer overflow and allow execution of arbitrary code on the client system.
Successful exploitation requires that a user using moxftp visits a malicious FTP server, or a malicious person is able to intercept and manipulate traffic sent to/from client and FTP server.
Solution: Use another FTP client until an updated version is released.
