Description:
A vulnerability in Eudora can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a user's email client.

The vulnerability is caused by an error when handling attachments with very long filenames. A malicious person can exploit this by sending a couple of emails including malicious attachments to a user, which corrupts the user's mailbox and causes the email client to crash.

Note: This is not a boundary error but an error when handling exceptional conditions. Therefore, the vulnerability cannot be exploited to compromise a user's system.

This vulnerability has been reported to exist in version 5.2.1 as well.
