Description: Ocean12 ASP Guestbook Manager contains an input validation error, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct Cross-Site Scripting attacks against other users.
User input supplied to the "Name", "E-Mail" and "Message" fields in "add.asp" is not validated, which can be exploited by posting a malicious entry in the guestbook. Script code will be executed in the user's browser session, when the entry is viewed.
This can result in disclosure of various information (eg. cookie-based authentication information) associated with the site running Ocean12 ASP Guestbook Manager or inclusion of malicious content, which the user thinks is part of the real website.
An access control error has also been reported, which allows a malicious person to download the database "o12guest.mdb". This discloses the administrator password, which is stored in clear text.
